An un-incorporated area of Onslow County, Hubert has toyed with becoming a town, but so far remains a loosely joined group of communities. Of course this also means no city taxes! Basically the area between Camp Lejeune / Jacksonville (with all its shopping, medical care, and other businesses) and Swansboro (with marinas, waterfront shopping and festivals). Includes waterfront on Queens Creek and Bear Creek. |

Hubert is home to many businesses, most located on Hwy 24 (Freedom Way). l Schools are nearby. Depending on location, students may attend one of several nearby. Check with the Onslow County Schools for more info. About 15 minutes away in Jacksonville is Coastal Carolina Community College. l Bogue Sound Watermelons, Strawberries and more are available at one of the Fruit & Vegetable stands on Hwy 24. Offered only in season of course. l Get your seafood fresh off the boat at Red Barn Seafood Fish House & Grill! l Medical care available by local doctors & dentists, including Swansboro Medical Center l Food markets (Piggly Wiggly and Food Lion) and convenience stores are available, as well as fast-food and restaurant services including Yana’s Ye Olde Drugstore and Capt Charlie’s Seafood nearby in Swansboro. l Hammocks Beach State Park is available by ferry or private boat. l Newly remodeled Swansboro Library is on the eastern end of town on Hwy 24 l Landscaping plants, supplies and so much more are available at S & H Feed & Grain also on Hwy 24. |
