Situated on the Intracoastal Waterway and White Oak River, Swansboro also offers easy living and lots of recreational activities. l Many unique shops along the waterfront and surrounding downtown area, including Russel’s Olde Tyme Shoppe, and Through the Looking Glass l Swansboro Elementary, Swansboro Middle and Swansboro High schools are in town. About 20 minutes away in Jacksonville is Coastal Carolina Community College. l Medical care provided by local doctors & dentists, including Swansboro Medical Center l Banking assistance is offered at branches of First Citizens Bank and Bank of America. Also in town, Marine Federal Credit Union. l Food markets (Piggly Wiggly and Food Lion) and convenience stores are available, as well as fast-food and restaurant services including Yana’s Ye Olde Drugstore and Capt Charlie’s Seafood. l Hammocks Beach State Park is available by ferry or private boat. l Newly remodeled Swansboro Library is on the western outskirts of town on Hwy 24 l With water all around us, there’s got to be a marina. Check out Casper’s Marina downtown. There’s also Nancy Lee Charters at the Nancy Lee Fishing Center between the bridges. If you can’t catch your own, you get your seafood fresh off the boat at Phillip’s Seafood between the bridges. l Swansboro even has a great little place for computer repairs & purchases. It’s called The Geek & The Grammer Queen. They’re located in the shopping center on Hwy 24 & Hammocks Beach Rd, between Taco Bell and the Post Office. |

Annual Festivals & Events in Swansboro! Arts-by-the-Sea & Story-telling Festival held on the 3rd Saturday in June along the waterfront The Mullet Festival is celebrated on the 2nd Saturday in October with a full day of parades, arts & crafts, music, exhibitions, dancing, carnivals games, and lots to eat. In November the Christmas Flotilla brings Santa into town via the Intracoastal Waterway. In March, catch the Swansboro Rotary Oyster Roast Memorial Day weekend it’s the King Mackerel/Blue Water Fishing Tournament 4th of July – don’t miss the fireworks on the waterfront! |
